After 11 years of building a patient base FootCare Clinic Ltd was established in 2011 and after just three years, due to an ever expanding patient register, she was delighted to engage Julie Mackey another HCPC Registered Podiatrist to provide the practice with greater appointment availability.
Our practice only employs podiatrists who are fully qualified with a Batchelor of Science in Podiatry (BSc Pod). This means that we are Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered and a member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists (SRCh). We are proud to provide a very high standard of care which includes maintaining a duty of continuing professional development in learning up to date management of all aspects of Podiatry.
We abide strictly by the standards set by the HCPC and SRCh to ensure that all necessary precautions are taken to safeguard both patients and staff against any transferable infections and pride ourselves with the sterilization of all instruments and surface areas used in this clinic before and after each patient.
In 2013 the FootCare Clinic was delighted to have Karen Fawcett join the practice. She is an extremely experienced chartered physiotherapist who is the practice principle of The Physiotherapy Centre in Sittingbourne and Medway.
Michael Carlton joined the practice in 2014 as a JING Institute qualified Clinical and Therapeutic Massage specialist.
To help prevent foot problems we recommend you attend at the very least for an annual routine foot health check.
It was an absolute delight to welcome Mrs Jag Kaur to FootCare Clinic Ltd in April 2017. In 1994 she graduated from City, University of London with a Batchelor of Science in Podiatry and then went on to study her Masters in Podiatry at the University of Brighton.
Before joining FootCare Clinic Ltd she worked for the NHS for over 23 years leading a team of podiatrists gaining a vast range of varied podiatry skills.
She ran the podopaediatric service (children’s foot and lower limb problems) and specialised in:

After qualifying in 1998, Julie Meehan worked in a private practice in Kingston-Upon-Thames where she learnt a great deal about the quality of chiropody and podiatry treatment expected by the public; how to make a patient happy and comfortable within each treatment and most of all how to turn podiatry into something that is an enjoyable experience.
Moving to Gillingham in 2000 Julie changed the work aspect of her podiatry to home care where she spent many years as a home visiting domiciliary podiatrist treating bed, chair and wheel chair bound patients as well as patients with severe health complaints from dementia and learning difficulties to heart and neuropathic conditions.
She has worked alongside Mr Ian Lenehan a Podiatrist at Total Podiatry who specialises in sports biomechanical assessments. She has spent time on training placements with podiatric surgeons Mrs Carol Selth and Mr Mark Tago and diabetic specialist, Neil Baker at Southampton General Hospital.
Julie Mackey graduated from the University of East London in 2012 with a first class honours degree. She worked within the Greenwich, Bromley and Medway NHS as a student and then after graduating spent two years working for the Greenwich NHS. She has had diabetic training placements at Kings College Hospital, London at the ulcer clinic. She has had training placements with a podiatric surgeon Mr Robert Isaacs and biomechanics specialist Mr Matthew Fitzpatrick. She had a four month secondment at Greenwich NHS with the falls prevention team.
Using all this knowledge she runs her own successful home visiting practice in Meopham and in 2014 it was a pleasure to welcome her to work at the FootCare Clinic for two days a week. Mrs Mackey has now retired from the FootCare Clinic Ltd but we are delighted that she is still able to cover days for us throughout the year.
